Rick Santelli...An American Hero!

Yesterday, I posted the video of Chicago trader Rick Santelli going on a rant on CNBC about the Obama administration and their economic policies. Since posting that video and article, the video has taken off and gone "viral"! It has spread like wildfire around the internet. Mr. Santelli's rant has been posted on websites and blogs around the world! It has also been shown on TV stations and the sound bytes have even been played on local radio stations. As I was on my way to Publix yesterday afternoon, Mr. Santelli's voice was the leading story at the top of the news hour on Atlanta's WSB 750 am radio station!

My reaction has been yippee! Someone who feels the way most Americans feel, finally had a platform to speak out and he did! Rick Santelli has become somewhat of an American hero overnight and started a movement that many have been working to start for weeks! The platform he had yesterday has galvanized even more Americans and they are starting to mobilize. There have been calls for Tea Parties in Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles!

There has been a website dedicated to the Chicago Tea Party that has been updated throughout the day with links to news organizations covering the story, including TV and newspapers. The other side of this story is the Obama administrations reaction to Mr. Santelli's "rant" on TV! Now, you know...they don't like it one iota! As a matter of fact, Mr. Gibbs, the White House Press Secretary, was not very kind to Mr. Santelli at the daily press briefing. I am going to get networking with the other Guys and Dolls I know because I think we need a Tea Party definitely in Washington DC or the DC area. I am also in favor a Tea Party in the South.
